I really liked to visit Barny at the store. We shared some Navy stories and chatted about old cars and music. I played some ragtime on the piano on occasion which he thoroughly enjoyed. I'm certainly going to miss him. Mike Metcalfe

I am so sorry to hear about Barney. My heart is broken. Barney used to come into the old Auntee B's in Puyallup where I had waited on him and Sparkey many many times. I will always remember him for his awesome tie dye shirts he was so proud of. He would walk In and say what do you think of this one with a huge smile on his face. Barney put up a good fight against Cancer. May he rest in peace with no more pain

I was so sorry to hear of Barney's passing. I know Diane better, but from my brief experiences with Barney, I found him to be a fun and friendly guy. I wished I could have heard him play the sax; I bet he was very good. The legacy he created through Arrow Lumber, particularly its community spirit and giving nature is truly remarkable. We need more people like him.

Barney was a kind and special person. I think of his love of music and classic automobiles and how he loved to share that passion. I think of him as a loving husband and a loving grandfather, and know that he was loved in return and they will miss him dearly. We are going to miss him too, but are so thankful for the life he shared with us. Wishing the family and friends comfort and good memories of a wonderful man.
