Obituary of James Seeber Christian Jr.

Jim Christian, 85, of Puyallup, WA passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Jim was born in San Diego, CA on April 9, 1938.  After graduating from the Army and Navy Academy (Carlsbad, CA Class of 1956) he went to work for Pacific Bell Telephone in the Installation and Repair department.  He was eventually promoted to Outside Plant Engineer specializing in Building Industry Consulting.

Jim and his family moved to Washington in 1989 where he retired for good in 2016.  While retired, he helped organize the Oak Harbor Pig Roast, pursued his interest in rockhounding with the Puyallup Valley Gem and Mineral Club, and assisted in establishing the Tacoma Sportsmens Club Conservation Land Foundation.

Jim is survived by his wife Earlene, son Jack, daughter-in-law Amy, and two grandsons.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Tacoma Sportsmens Club on Thursday, October 26, 2023, starting at 5:00 PM.
