Obituary of Ashley James Morris

Ashley James Morris 41 of Tacoma, WA peacefully passed away on August 30th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

Ashley was born on February 12, 1982, to Jim Morris and Heather Martin-Morris. He was a great son and brother to his siblings Jessica Ives, Melissa Shroder and Oliver Morris.

He was a fierce provider. Working in the roofing industry for almost 20 years before venturing into gutters. He was never afraid to work long hours and weekends to provide for his family.

In high school he met Saundra Blanchard and in 2006 they became partners in life. He had Lauryn Lambing-Morris (Mother Jillian Lambing-Swingen) and Aubrey Weaver (Coretta Weaver). He then took on 3 Stepchildren Brandon Evans, Johnathan Hopper and Julaina Hopper. They then welcomed 2 more boys together, William Morris and Nathaniel Morris. They have 2 grand Children Luna Mae and Mason James Hearne (Lauryn and Dylan Hearne), and 1 son in law Dylan Hearne.

Ashley had a larger-than-life personality with a huge heart and infectious laugh. He was always up for an outdoors adventure whether it was camping with friends or family, 4 wheeling or hiking. He would take his family on long weekend drives to see parts of the state he’s never seen. He would spend hours outside working on his favorite truck with his son, even putting on his new rims and tires in the dark with his phone's flashlight in his mouth. He loved breakfast any time of day especially if it was at his favorite Kelly's café, and of course donuts on Sundays from pao’s. He could talk for hours catching up with friends/family who live coast to coast or on the porch with his wife and kids giving the kids one of his famous lectures on life lessons.

He was a great son. A loving father, grandfather and husband. Loyal Brother and truest of friends. Who chose to live each and every moment to the fullest. All with a cup of coffee in his hand.

Ashley was predeceased by Joyce Martin (grandmother), John Martin (stepfather), Heather Morris-Martin (Mother) and Luna mae Hearne (granddaughter). He is survived by Jim Morris (father), Saundra Blanchard (wife), Jessica Ives (sister), Melissa Shroder (sister), Oliver Morris (brother), His daughters Lauryn Lambing-Morris, Aubrey Weaver (Mother Coretta Weaver) and Julaina Hopper. His sons William Morris, Nathaniel Morris, Brandon Evans, Johnathan Hopper and Dylan Hearne. His Grandson Mason James Hearne.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date that has yet to be determined.
