It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of George Raymond Gerrish. On the 23rd of August 2023, he peacefully departed this world, surrounded by his loved ones in the comfort of his home in Puyallup, WA. George was a remarkable man, aged 80, born on November 20, 1942, to Phillis Burkland and Stanley Gerrish. He grew up in Tacoma, WA, and attended Stadium High School, where he graduated. George served in the Army thereafter.
George married the love of his life, Diane Johnson, and together they raised two beautiful daughters, Sharon, and Jane.
George worked as a Longshoreman for most of his life until his well-deserved retirement. He spent his retirement years basking in the company of his family and friends, cherishing his role as a loving grandfather and was a trusted friend to many.
George was an accomplished outdoorsman who had a passion for hunting, fishing, crabbing, and gardening. He relished the time he spent on his boat. These moments were made even more cherished by the presence of his dear friends and family who joined him in these adventures.
