Obituary of Carlota Lee Ortiz

Carlota Lee Ortiz, age 75, of Bonney Lake, WA, passed away peacefully in her home, on August 29, 2023 in Puyallup, Washington. She was born on November 21, 1947 in Pleasentville, California. Carlota was a compassionate and dedicated caregiver throughout her career, providing care and support to those in need.

Known for her bright personality and caring nature, Carlota was a beacon of light to everyone around her. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel loved and valued, treating friends as family. Her never ending positivity and strong-will were an inspiration to all who knew her.

In her free time, Carlota enjoyed watching the Seattle Seahawks, cheering them on with unmatched enthusiasm. She cherished spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors; creating lasting memories and fostering strong connections. Carlota also found joy in playing scripture and crossword puzzles on her phone, challenging her mind and embracing her love for god.

Carlota will be deeply missed by her surviving sisters: Connie Richardson, Toni Ortiz, Stella Fogg, and brother Felix Ortiz. She is also survived by her daughters: Debra Freilinger, Angela Thompson, and son Shawn Freilinger. Carlota was a loving mother-in-law to May Freilinger and son-in-law Tj Thompson. Her nephew James Ortiz, ten grandchildren, Shianne Campbell, Mariah Coulson, Cassandra Freilinger, Dekota Bramsche, Tyler Freilinger, Elijah Davidson, Madison Freilinger, Kaden Thompson, Serina Freilinger, and Maya Freilinger, as well as her four great-grandchildren, Rory, Rayna, Ryland, and Mayven will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Carlota was preceded in death by her mother: Florinda Garcia, father Felix Ortiz, brother Juan Ortiz (John), and sister Maria Josephina Ortiz (Josie). Their memories will live on, intertwining with the beautiful legacy Carlota leaves behind.

Carlota Lee Ortiz touched the lives of many through her selfless care, love, and unwavering positivity. She will forever be remembered as a shining light in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul find eternal peace.
