Obituary of Seah Thun Eggum

Seah was a kind and caring trailblazer.  She viewed all things with humor and love.  Born in Graham, WA to Bean and Ginger Thun, she was a natural caretaker, entertainer, and friend to her siblings Tona, Josh, and Rina.  She was always fashion-forward, even in high school where she wore her New Wave styles to the dance clubs of Seattle every chance she had.  The first in her family to go to college, Seah studied Art History at WWU and came home to share her love of beauty and adventure with her younger siblings.  She went on to become a beloved Elementary school teacher, eventually earning her masters degree. Seah served the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District community for over 26 years. In her career she loved watching her students’ curiosity for learning and their humor, and cherished her friendships with her colleagues.

Most important of all to Seah was her family.  She will always be so proud of her son, Harrison Jastrzembski, and daughter, Charlotte Eggum who were a constant source of joy. She married her true love, Jeramy Eggum, on April 12, 2006 in their home in Puyallup. Together they enjoyed raising their family, hosting BBQs & pool parties.  Seah was always up for adventures, large and small.  Whether traveling the world, reading a great book, visiting with her large and supportive group of family and friends or enjoying a tennis match, Seah always led with kindness and courage. There are no words that can explain how much she is missed already.

Seah died on April 10th, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer, but her spirit will live on in all the lives she touched. A celebration of her life will be held at Pioneer Park Pavilion, 330 S. Meridian, Puyallup on June 3rd at 6pm and a service at All Saints Church, Puyallup on June 4th at 11am.
