Obituary of Wayne Donald Bernard

Wayne Donald Bernard (Hofmann) 86 passed away 10-19-2020 peacefully at his home in Eatonville. He is survived by his loving wife Florence (Parrish), daughters Jeanne Ballard and husband Jay of Cle ELum, Tina Stenlund and husband Ken of South Prairie. Four loving grandchildren Meghan, Jessica, Joshua and Chase.

Wayne was born in the town of Kosmos in Lewis County to Frank and Mary Bernard on May 6, 1934. He attended school in Glenoma and Morton.

He worked in the logging industry most of his life, starting out at Kosmos Timber Company right out of high school. He then did two years  as a military helicopter mechanic for the armed forces. He went on to work for Weyerhaeuser timber Company, then a few smaller logging companies as well as Pack Forest and Mt. Rainier National Park.

Wayne liked to hunt, fish, garden, watch the Seahawks and Mariners, reminisce with old friends and relatives and have a good laugh. He also loved animals and was always kind to them. Copper (his cat) was his best four legged friend who never ceased to warm his heart.

Wayne sorely will be missed by his family and friends. We love you and miss you.
