Dorothie passed away peacefully in Puyallup on November 1, 2019 at the age of 87.

Born to Aaron and Thelma Hammond on March 24, 1932 in Klamath Falls, Oregon where she lived until she met her husband Phillip (Bud) Holland.  They were married in 1955 and together raised 4 children.

Bud's career took them to Chicago and California and back to Puyallup in 1965.  Together (with business partners) they built and operated the Road House Tavern on South Hill in 1971.  Dorothie worked as a beloved school bus driver for the Puyallup School District and later became a top producing Real Estate Agent winning awards and recognition for her outstanding customer service and sales.

Dorothie married Howard Rogers and moved to Arizona in 1981.  The eventually moved back to WA to be close to family.  Later in life she resided at Kings Manor Assisted Living where she participated and loved every activity.  She loved people!

Our beloved mom was an amzing mother who loved her family.  There was nothing she wouldn't or couldn't do for her family and friends.  She was a great host, a great cook, who had passion for a clean and cozy house.  She enjoyed entertaining, gardening, home decorating, golfing, and had many different hobbies througout her life.  She was loved by anyone who knew her, and left a mark on everyone she met.  She had a loving spirit, positive attitude, giving heart and she loved Jesus!

Dorothie is survived by her children, Mike (Sue) Holland, Craig (Mona) Holland, Patty (Lonnie) Gratz, Chris (David) Becker, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren along with extended family of whom she deeply loved.  Not to forget her little dog Cody who mom loved so much.  He provided mich companionship and comfort.

Dorothie will be forever missed and dearly loved by her family and friends.

Many thanks to everyone at Residential Care Adult Family Home (Puyallup).  Mom was lovingly cared for until she went home to be with the Lord.
