My family was on vacation in 1984 when I had the honor of meeting Vernon and Jo Ann Cox. They welcome my family in their home and gave us strawberry short cake. I was already friends with their daughter Dee Ann and her son Jimmy. Dee Ann and I share the same family values, even though we lived across the country from each other. I know Vernon was a great man and will be missed. I am sending my prayers and love to the Cox family.

Uncle Vern was a wonderful man and will be missed. He married JoAnn who was sister to our mother Nina Heston. Because of traveling distance with our family in Colorado and they in Washington state, we did not get to see each other very often. When we did get to visit, it was clear what a wonderful man Vern was. We extend our deepest sympathies to the members of the Cox family.

I am blessed beyond measure to have been Vern's son, Dad was about as solid of an individual as there can be. Best mechanic, hay harvester, Husband to my Mom JoAnn, and father of 7. He shared many scripture with me, but one stands out. "No on comes to the Father but by His Son (Jesus) Dad didn't fall for the "Many roads lead to God" fallacy. God's PERFECT plan was through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. I will miss dad, but the past two weeks of his life I spent with him...

Thanks"Dad" for all the things you did for us. Like a car when we got married (Rambler), and many more things you did for us. The kindness you show to my family. I love you and will miss you.
Your daughter in law, Linda
