Obituary of Carol Ann DeJardine

Carol was born unto Lionel Brubaker and Melvina Gunderson 3/11/42 in North Tacoma. She attended Stadium High School and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in education from Washington State University. After college Carol traveled to many parts of the world and taught for a short time in Germany through a teaching exchange program. For over 30 years she taught 5th grade in the Franklin Pierce School District. Most of those years spent at Central Avenue Elementary from which she retired. Carol was an avid member of Spanaway United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She enjoyed church activities, downhill skiing, travel, gardening, collecting agates and spending time with her family. Carol is survived by her husband Richard, children Matthew (Gheni), Trent (Roxane) and Taryn, and 4 grandchildren. She passed away quietly at her residense the afternoon of 1/17/23 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Family and friends will remember her sweet smile and caring heart. We miss you and love you always... For what the earth has lost heaven has gained an angel.
