Obituary of Dana Lynn Jasmer

Dana Lynn (Borg) Jasmer – Dana was called home to our Lord on July 15^th, 2022.  Dana was born May 1, 1966, in Ypsilanti, Michigan.  She is preceded in death by her father, Stanley W. Borg; mother, Iloe Dene Borg (Simpson) and sister, Deanna (Tom).

Dana graduated from Sumner High School in 1984.  She attended Pacific Lutheran University and Whitworth University, earning her B.S. degree in 1988.  She subsequently received her J.D. from McGeorge School of Law in 1991.  While Dana began her career in Family Law, she eventually found her professional niche working in Human Resource management positions at Comcast, Wells Fargo, and Builders FirstSource.

Dana loved board games. She took immense joy and pride hosting a game night or gathering a group to watch a movie.  Unbeknownst to many, Dana had a real knack for rewriting song lyrics for special family events.  During Dana’s college years, she was famous for performing comedy skits on talent nights. She also wrote beautiful poetry and was in the midst of writing a book called, “Notes on God.”  All of these unique talents highlight Dana’s quick wit, creativity, sense of humor, and ability to eloquently translate emotions & thoughts into words.  Her deep faith, Bible study and relationship with Jesus provided much peace and comfort to her, especially in her final days.  Dana’s unwavering positivity was an encouragement and inspiration to those who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Glen.  In addition, Dana is also survived by her siblings, Michelle (Dave); Pam (Mark); Stan; and William (Petra), sister-in-law (Lois); as well as ten nieces and nephews:  Samantha, Joe, Kelli, Brian, Jimmy, Haley, Rebecca, Colton, Logan and Hudson; and one grand-niece, Maci.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 4^th, at Hill Funeral Home, 217 E. Pioneer, Puyallup, WA 98372. 

Viewing at 10am (closed casket); Service begins at 11am with Reception immediately following.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity on behalf of Dana.
