Vicki Scroger and Family, I am very sorry to just learn of my friend, Winton's passing. After both our retirements, he & I only enjoyed each other over a few lunches. We initially met in Puyallup & Tacoma's Paint Stores of various Paint Companies where I managed and sold Paint & associated product.
Win and I hit it off together from the very start and he became one of my very favorite customers. From his always-upbeat & positive attitude to his Upstate New York accent and insuing "backhome" tales, Win was a joy to have in my various Company Paint Stores. His visits were always rather short, he was very professionally committed, which is further exemplified by the plaudits from his customers whose jobs he had done. He was a very singularly organized and efficient painter, well respected by his peers.
In closing, I also enjoyed being the recipient of Win's gardening skills. Various vegetables especially onions, Tomatoes and even his superb Salsa always managed to find their way from Win's hands to mine.
He will be remembered. -Jim Brecht
