Obituary of Nathaniel Acosta

On Friday April 17th, 2020 Nathaniel Mateo Acosta, received his wings. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and cousin passed away at the age of 24 in Portland Oregon. He was a gentle soul.

Nathaniel was born in Tacoma Washington on February 16th, 1996 to his loving parents Dawnnetta Garcia and Michael Acosta Sr at Saint Clare’s Hospital. Nathaniel received his GED in Florence Oregon and worked many jobs up until the day he died. Nathaniel had a passion for life. He loved and cherished his family and friends in a way that most people are not capable of. He had a huge heart of gold and always wanted to be helpful. His smile was infectious, he could light up any room he walked into. He had a love for art and music. He would spend his free time playing the ukulele, the guitar , drawing, writing stories, eating Cheetos, watching movies, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Nathaniel was the type of person if you needed something or someone he was there in a drop of the hat. Before his death Nathaniel was planning to start college soon and even though he did not fully know what he was going to do he knew in the end he was going to be rich and sit on the beach and surf. He adored his only niece and children in general and wanted to become a father one day and get married.

Nathaniel is survived by his Mother, Dawnnetta Garcia 45 of Yelm WA, Father Michael Acosta Sr 45 of Tacoma WA, his sister Alexus M Acosta 22 of Yelm WA, his brother Michael C Acosta Jr 26 of Bakersfield CA, and Nates adopted brother Nickolas Larsen 21 of Yelm WA and his niece Grace S Larsen 2 of Yelm WA, his grandparents John Melton Sr, Mary Richards, Ellie Luna , Rudy Acosta Sr his aunts Trisha Melton, Lisa Tribble, , Sarah Acosta, uncles Rudy Acosta, Johnny L Melton Jr and cousins, and friends.

Nathaniel is now with his grandpa Steve, Bessie Dirkschnider, Edward Dirkschinder, Shirley Melton/Blanton, Ernest Melton and some aunts and uncles.

A viewing service for immediate family will be held on Friday April 24th from 1-4pm at Hill Funeral Home 217 E Pioneer Ave Puyallup Washington with a memorial to follow in a couple weeks .
