Virginia Silva

Obituary of Virginia Silva

Virginia Zitting Lee Silva "One Sweet Cookie" Virginia Lee Silva has joined her husband of 49 years, Robert J. Silva, to look after her family from heaven. She passed away shortly after celebrating her 93rd birthday at the Riverside Adult Family Home, where she resided with the help of caring staff during the progression of Alzheimer’s. A longtime member of St. Martin of Tours Parish in Fife, she enjoyed singing and greeting friends. Knowing she was a child of God, she raised her children to love the Lord. Home and family brought her the most joy. She made life beautiful for those around her with her creative needlework, sewing, preparing delicious treats, or in the garden caring for her lovely plants. She loved her home on the beach at Brown’s Point, with a view of the mountain and water. She was good natured and loved to talk and smile, making the world a friendlier place. No one remained a stranger for long. She will be missed by her children and their spouses; Robert L. Silva (Dy), Nancy L. Dekeyser (John), Richard J. Silva, Susan M. Bloom, and Annette K. Lewandoski (Mike.) She was preceded in death by daughter, Donna Daly and husband, Terry. Best Grandma to 16 grandchildren and great grandma to 20. Virginia loved a hot drink and a cookie. She baked for friends and family as her way of saying “thank you,” “I love you” and “You’re wonderful!” Graveside service will be held at Woodbine Cemetery on August 14th at 1:00 with a reception to follow at daughter’s home.
