Obituary of Ann Shank

Ann was born November 20, 1932 in Eureka, CA to Harold Pavey and Willo Ridenour and she passed away peacefully on March 28, 2019 in Puyallup, WA. Prior to Puyallup, she lived many years in Rochester, Mossyrock, Gig Harbor and Edgewood, WA. Ann worked and retired from the telephone company as a systems programmer. She also had worked for JC Penney's as a purchaser. Ann loved to cook, bake, can, ski at Crystal Mountain, fish, sew, knit, crochet, paint and garden...but most of all, she loved being with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Gil in 2010, son Ronny in 2014 and son Kevin in 2015. She is survived by her sons, Larry (Gloria), David (Debbie) and Michael; sister Beth (Wally), numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 great great granddaughters, daughters in law Sue and Cris, several nieces, nephews and also her extended family, Annie, Dan (Wilma), Florine and their families. In memory of Ann, donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association. https://www.alz.org/alzwa The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone at Brookdale South Memory Care facility in Puyallup for all of their loving care they provided for Ann for the last 3 years. Viewing will be available on Saturday, April 6th, 2019 from 4-6pm at Hill Funeral Home in downtown Puyallup. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 2:00pm, also at Hill Funeral Home with a reception following. Ann will be laid to rest with her husband Gil at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
