Obituary of Harry Coit

Harry Williams Coit Senior passed away on October 23, 2018 with his son Erich by his side in Graham Washington. He was born on April 17th 1928 in Newllton Louisiana on his family’s farm. The youngest of four, the son of Allie Williams and Albert Barge Coit he is survived by three of his five sons (Robert James Coit, Erich Harry Coit, Harry Williams Coit Junior.), seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many friends and extended family members. He is remembered best for his long military career, first a sailor and later a soldier. He retired from the Army as a First Sergeant in 1977. He served three tours of duty in Vietnam receiving multiple purple hearts and the bronze star. During his lifetime he was a Police Officer in Prattville Alabama, attended Texas A &M, served as a District Court Bailiff for Pierce County. He was an excellent arm chair quarterback, a good fisherman, an ok handyman. The world is a smaller place with his passing and he will be missed by those he loved.
