Obituary of Katherine Casteel

Katherine M. Casteel Kay was born May 27, 1928 in Selfridge, No. Dakota. She passed away on Sept. 19, 2018 at Franciscan Hospice House in University Place, WA of complications of Alzheimer’s. She loved her family, friends, crocheting and playing cribbage. Her greatest love was her grandchildren. Kay is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Emma Dietrich; sisters, Jenny and Vi; brothers Fred and Fran. She leaves behind her husband of 69 years, Don; daughters, Susan (Lou) and Joni (Rick); son, Mark (Karen); six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Maryann and Diane and brother Gene. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Alzheimer’s Research or Hospice House in University Place, WA. There will be a viewing on Friday, 9/28, 5-8pm with a Funeral service on Saturday, 9/29, 11am, all at Hill Funeral Home, 217 E. Pioneer, Puyallup, WA, 253-845-1172.
