Obituary of Larry Carney

On Tuesday, April 3, Larry Carney (1942-2018) went to sleep and reached the finish line. It was peaceful, he was ready, and knew he had done everything he could to take care of the love of his life, Pat. He had spent his lifetime caring for his younger brother Bob, his two sons Rob and Colin, and his grandchildren. Larry was a graduate of Renton High School, the University of Washington, and earned his Law degree from the University of Puget Sound. Larry was a lifetime educator, spending 13 years as a teacher and 13 years as an administrator for the Puyallup School District. He was a longstanding member of the Puyallup Valley Rotary Club and the United Methodist Church. His lifetime of educating, of leadership, and service to school-community-church have ended, but the positive impact he made for so many individuals serves as his enduring legacy. Services will be held at the Puyallup Methodist Church 1919 Pioneer Ave in Puyallup on April 14th at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to the Rotary International Foundation at www.rotary.org or to the Wesley Bradley Park Senior Living facility at wesleychoice.org
