Obituary of Doris Adams

DORIS M ADAMS May 30, 1932 – March 27, 2018 Doris was born May 30, 1932 and passed at home with family by her side on March 27, 2018. She was born in Tacoma to Fred & Julia Johnson and had 5 siblings. She graduated from Roy High School. She married the love of her life, Orvil Adams, on April 6, 1951 and they had 3 daughters, Charolette, Pam and Patty. She began her career at Tacoma Narrows Federal Credit Union in 1961 and remained there for 33 years helping her customers and making many lifelong friends as Manager and retired in 1994. She and Orv spent their retirement years traveling in their motorhome visiting many places. In those travels they found Yuma, AZ and bought a home and spent winters in Yuma and summers at home with family. Orv passed in 2008 and in 2010 Doris sold the house and returned to spend her final years living with Charolette in Puyallup WA. She passed at home with family at her side. She is survived by daughters, Charolette Adams, Pam (Joe) Zastrow and Patty (Gary) Gustin; Grandchildren, Denise Benson, Kylene (Shawn) Willis, Michelle (Matt) Hankins, Bethany (Luke) Howard and Kristopher Enos; 6 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Granddaughter. She is also survived by Sisters & Brothers in law, Marge Johnson, Nancy & Bill Beyer and Harold Schwarz; several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Orv; her parents; Brother Ken; and Sisters, Katherine and Virginia. Her Memorial Service will be at Puyallup United Methodist Church, 1919 West Pioneer, Puyallup WA 98371 on April 28th at 11:00 am with a Reception following at the Church.
