Obituary of Michell Gillispie

Mick (Michell) Leroy Gillispie was born June 2, 1947 to parents Wanda and Harold Gillispie, and passed away Feb. 17, 2018. He leaves behind a brother John Gillispie and his wife Leslie, sister Koeta Imhof, brother Sam Gillispie and his wife Nancy, and sister Sherrie Simpson and her husband Rick Simpson. He also leaves behind 4 nephews and 4 nieces and lots of great nieces and nephews. Mick loved his family, his home showed his adornment for his family as it was covered in photos that he kept out to show all that would look. He served our country in the United States Army, and was an honored veteran. Although he would not talk about his service as it brought him inner struggles, he saved many lives, yet still did not believe himself to be a hero. Mick would go out of his way to help everyone putting his own needs aside, he often reached out to other veterans and there families offering support and encouragement. He was a community leader in Tacoma Hog group, Abate of Washington, and helped many people with the mortgages as a Resource Mortgage broker. We honor him and will celebrate his life March 23, 2018, 1:00pm at Hill Funeral Home in Puyallup, WA. A reception will follow at the Puyallup Eagles at 2:00pm.
