Darold “Spud” W. Mannie, 77, of Bonney Lake, WA, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on September 22, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born February 2, 1942 in Lakota, North “by God” Dakota to Alvey and Ada Mannie. He attended Puyallup High School and then enlisted in the U.S Coast Guard in 1959. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Coast Guard and working in construction for several years, he began his Civil Engineer career at McChord Air Force Base until his retirement in 1999.
He is survived by his sons, Darrin Mannie (Chantel), Barry Mannie (Kendall), and daughter, Tarra Mannie. Grandchildren, Justin Mannie, Stephanie Watts (Rob), Conner Mannie, Bailey Jackson (Shayne), and Khari Snedigar. Great-grandchild, Olivia Lynn Louise Jackson. Step-grandchildren, Aubrey Day-Sison (Maurice), David Day Jr., and Lindsey Parker. Step-great grandchild, Logan Sison.
Funeral Service is scheduled on October 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing at 10:00a.m. at Hill Funeral Home 217 E. Pioneer, Puyallup, WA 98272. Procession from funeral home at 12:30 p.m. to his final resting place Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 S.E. 240th St., Kent, WA 98042 for burial service starting at 1:30 p.m.
